I would want to live in the United States.
The Native Americans know the land in the United States way better than the British or any European country that wants to settle there. They can use this to their advantage by using guerrilla warfare and getting food and water. They are at a major disadvantage because they have no guns like the British but arrows and spears should do the job in guerrilla warfare. To beat the British, they would have to come together. Tecumseh and the Iroquois Confederation have grouped together tribes to have a better chance against the British and have won some battles.
South African natives know their land too and have joined together but the fact that gold and diamonds have been found means the British will pursue their land more and will not accept defeat. South Africa is also a great port for shipping and boating so the British would get gold, diamonds, shipping, and land opportunities from South Africa yet from the Native American territory, they only want to drive them out to spread settlement. The bottom line is gold, diamonds, and trading are more important than settlement so the British will be way more aggressive in taking South Africa than Indian Territory.
